Pain Free Sleep Dentistry with IV Dental Sedation

At Tooth Sparkler Family Dental, we understand that sometimes coming to the dentist for treatment can be scary, and we don’t want this to stop you from receiving the treatment you need.

We now offer IV sedation for patients who find that dental procedures cause anxiety.

The aim of conscious sedation is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable during your dental procedure. Sedative and analgesic medications are carefully adjusted to make you peacefully sleepy without becoming unconscious. You are able to breathe on your own, and communication is possible if needed. The dentist and dental nurse will be by your side the whole time to monitor your needs.

After your treatment, you’ll be taken to a comfy chair and given a warm blanket to recover until the effects of the sedation have worn off — which usually isn’t too long.

If this sounds like something you would benefit from, please contact us today to book a consult appointment.

Tooth Sparkler Family Dental are proud to introduce Dr Minoo Vellani, an expert in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control as our partner.

“After running my own dental practice in Sydney for over 20 years, I took a particular interest in sedation techniques within dentistry and completed postgraduate training to become registered with the Dental Board as an approved Dental Sedationist – which I have held since 2006.

As a qualified and experienced dentist myself, I understand firsthand the challenges dentists face with anxious patients, complex procedures and/or multi-session treatments. Nowadays, I bridge the gap between patient and dentist – providing a stress-free experience for patients, simultaneously providing an ideal working environment for the dentist.

My passion for sedation dentistry is built on the belief that in this day and age, no one needs to feel worried or anxious about their dental visit. I take great pride in tailoring a sedation plan to suit each individual patient – and their dentist – so that developing and maintaining oral health becomes easy and anxiety free.”
